WindowsUtilitiesSetForegroundWindow Method (Window)

Brings the thread that created the specified window into the foreground and activates the window. Keyboard input is directed to the window, and various visual cues are changed for the user. The system assigns a slightly higher priority to the thread that created the foreground window than it does to other threads.

window
Type: System.WindowsWindow
The window.

Return Value

Type: Boolean
true if the window was brought to the foreground, false otherwise.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type Window. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see Extension Methods (Visual Basic) or Extension Methods (C# Programming Guide).
