Release Event
Fires when the OS needs to release (close) a file.
Syntax
public event OnReleaseHandler OnRelease; public delegate void OnReleaseHandler(object sender, FuseReleaseEventArgs e); public class FuseReleaseEventArgs : EventArgs { public string Path { get; } public int FileContext { get; } public int Flags { get; } public int Result { get; set; } }
Public Event OnRelease As OnReleaseHandler Public Delegate Sub OnReleaseHandler(sender As Object, e As FuseReleaseEventArgs) Public Class FuseReleaseEventArgs Inherits EventArgs Public ReadOnly Property Path As String Public ReadOnly Property FileContext As Integer Public ReadOnly Property Flags As Integer Public Property Result As Integer End Class
Remarks
This event fires when the OS wants to close the file identified by either Path or FileContext.
The Flags parameter contains the same value as the one passed during file creation or opening. Windows: if the file is opened two or more times concurrently (i.e., several open handles exist), this parameter will contain the flags of the last open operation rather than of an operation that opened a handle being closed.
The ResultCode parameter will always be 0 when the event is fired. If the event cannot be handled in a "successful" manner for some reason (e.g., a resource isn't available, security checks failed, etc.), set it to a negative error code value (e.g. -ENOENT to indicate that the file does not exist) to report an appropriate error. Please refer to the Error Reporting and Handling topic for more information.
