CreateVault Method

Creates an in-memory vault.

Syntax

int CreateVault();

Remarks

This method creates a vault in memory using the properties and configuration settings, listed below. Please refer to each one's documentation for more information, including usage restrictions.

• AutoCompactAt property
• AutoCompactDelay configuration setting
• CaseSensitive property
• Logo property
• MaxNonPagedNameLength configuration setting
• PageSize property
• PathSeparator property
• ReadOnly property
• UseAccessTime property

Note: This method cannot be called when Active is true, and cannot be called within events.

Error Handling

This method returns a result code; 0 indicates success, while a non-zero error code indicates that this method encountered an error during its execution. If an error occurs, the GetLastError() method can be called to retrieve the associated error message. (Note: This method's result code can also be obtained by calling the GetLastErrorCode() method after it returns.)
