SupportChangeTimeAttribute Property

Whether the virtual filesystem supports the ChangeTime file attribute.

Syntax

 cbfs.getSupportChangeTimeAttribute([callback])
 cbfs.setSupportChangeTimeAttribute( supportChangeTimeAttribute, [callback])

Default Value

FALSE

Callback

The 'callback' parameter specifies a function which will be called when the operation completes (or an error is encountered). If the 'callback' parameter is not specified, then the method will block and will not return until the operation completes (or an error is encountered).

The callback for the getSupportChangeTimeAttribute([callback]) method is defined as:

function(err, data){ }

'err' is the error that occurred. If there was no error, then 'err' is 'null'.

'data' is the value returned by the method.

The callback for the setSupportChangeTimeAttribute([callback]) method is defined as:

function(err){ }

'err' is the error that occurred. If there was no error, then 'err' is 'null'.

'err' has 2 properties which hold detailed information:

err.code
err.message

Remarks

This property specifies whether the virtual filesystem should indicate to the system that it supports the ChangeTime file attribute, which tracks the last time a file's metadata (e.g., permissions) or content was changed. The ChangeTime attribute is optional, and applications can choose not to handle it in events by simply leaving the value of the corresponding parameter unchanged.

Note that if the application is identifying its virtual filesystem (via FileSystemName) as NTFS, and this property is disabled, the class will still handle the ChangeTime attribute implicitly by setting it equal to LastWriteTime.

Note: This property cannot be changed after a virtual drive is created, and cannot be changed within events.

This property is not available at design time.
